MAIN COURSE (Job Responsibilities):

Our team creates, maintains, and evaluates strategy, programs and resources that our independent sales consultants use every day. We examine what works, what doesn’t, and strive to provide the best possible experience for our consultants and customers 

The Field Training team is focused on enabling consultants to learn the key business and selling skills to build their Pampered Chef business.  This team will collaborate with the Marketing, Field Strategy, Field Advocacy and Technology teams to develop and deploy meaningful training and development programs that drive results.

The Manager of Field Training leads the development of all training material for Pampered Chef sales consultants from onboarding of new consultants to leadership programs for senior field leaders. He/she will be responsible for creating and supporting training and development programs designed to address skill and capability gaps for consultants and measure the impact of field learning programs on key KPIs including revenue, retention, recruiting, and growth.  The position is critical to train our field to effectively build and run their Pampered Chef businesses. 

 More specifically, this role entails the following:

  • Evaluate and analyze current training curriculum (content, delivery method and deployment) for Pampered Chef and expand on the Pampered Chef University platform to develop a best in class training experience
  • Consults and collaborates with coworkers and field to analyze training needs and identify learning objectives that take into consideration such things as business objectives, audience needs, product information and installation, deadlines, and budget, delivery platforms
  • Work closely with the Field Advocacy, Field Strategy and Meetings and Incentive teams to coordinate, plan and evaluate field learning events
  • Identify metrics to evaluate effectiveness of the training tools, content and delivery
  • Implements and manages new technologies and methods to enhance learning and its processes
  • Designs and develops training content (including participant guides, facilitator guides and job aids) using instructional design best practices. Identifies appropriate media for both virtual and classroom delivery. Leverages active learning strategies for adult learners that address diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Coordinates and reviews training content with subject matter experts, marketing, product, or other content experts as appropriate
  • Remains current in trends, development, and innovations in training, technology, and instructional methodologies
  • Develops annual training plans and recommend appropriate corresponding budget with the VP, Field Strategy.
  • Coordinate training efforts with the Field Development Managers
KEY INGREDIENTS (Position Requirements):
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A successful track record in supporting the development and execution of field facing learning and/or sales initiatives
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in learning, training and development of people
  • Familiar with adult learning theories and content development
  • Demonstrated success with defining, implementing and optimizing content strategy for sales leaders
  • Creative and conceptual thinker that can turn great ideas into practical training that supports growth goals
  • Strong team building, presentation and analytical skills
  • Oral and written communications skills are essential
  • Understanding and knowledge of sales strategy and sales force effectiveness
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the ability to influence those inside and outside the department
