About you
The Manager, Pre-Sales Solutions(PSS) will be a “Player Coach”, someone that will lead a team of FourKites’ PSS consultants, look for ways to improve processes and increase the impact of the PSS team both in the field and internally. This manager will be responsible for presenting client specific product offerings to drive confidence in the company and solutions we provide while driving revenue for FourKites. This will involve providing consultative technical sales support as needed - applying standard principles to identify and define business problems, elicit requirements, correlate related constraints, and ideal proposed solutions. The ideal candidate will have both a technical and sales background that they can utilize while in front of clients as well as coaching the team.
Responsibilities
- Manage the team of PSS consultants based in Chicago and remote.
- Streamline the consultant’s processes to create effortless client relations.
- Assist in development of presentations, tools and execution of sales strategies resulting in new business revenue as well as growing existing relationships
- Collaborate with Account Executives to understand the client needs and challenges to then align with our product offering
- Architect, build and demonstrate client specific solutions to address their needs and challenges
- Develop the customized value proposition and sales strategy on a per account basis and understand the technical and business challenges of the prospect
- Interface with customers, including C-level executives to build presentations, proposals, statements of work (SOW), asses risk and work with sales team to navigate complex selling environments.
- Report internally on customer requirements in an organized fashion to assist product marketing and product management in defining future product requirements.
- Review, assist in responding and documenting RFX evaluations
- Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
- Provide training and produce support materials for other members of the sales team
- The ability to understand complex technology solutions and explain them in a simple and precise way to both a technical and business user is a must
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education
- Experience in solution development in a software or ASP environment
- 2+ years of managing a Solutions Engineering team
- 5+ years in the enterprise management industries, preferably in solutions engineer capacity
- Experience consulting with Fortune 500 companies selling to the C-level executives
- Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Knowledge of Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture, Web based UI’s
**You must be tenacious, intelligent and entrepreneurial in nature. You should have a good understanding of sales methodologies and automation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are an absolute must. Travel (approximately 30%) is required.
