Order Management Technician

MAIN COURSE (Job Responsibilities):Order Management Technicians are responsible for the creation and release of orders to the Distribution Center. They generate waves into the pick to light (PTL) system using the WCS, P800 and Oracle computer systems.
- Ensures that all orders and cartons are completed in each wave series and verifies that cartons without labels and/or orders missing packing slips have been corrected so they can be processed in the system for shipment. Also, labels and places totes into the PTL system for picking.
- Works with the WCS computer system to create waves and then downloads the waves into the system
- Introduces new waves into the PTL system as existing waves begin to close out in order to keep a consistent flow of work moving throughout the Distribution Center
- Reviews the Oracle WCS system to verify product stock levels and makes a determination to hold or release orders containing certain products
- Troubleshoots system error messages, performs general maintenance and minor repairs on label print and apply equipment. Will also maintain label and ribbon stock for printer equipment.
- Responsible for correcting clearing orders rejected from the system
- Maintains a clean work area
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Basic computer experience and skills with Windows based applications is required
- Knowledge of workflow and operations of our Distribution Center, preferred
- A basic understanding of our warehouse control system (WCS) and ability to create and release waves, required
- A basic understanding of our host system (P800), required
- The ability to learn new computer systems and programs quickly, required
- Ability to troubleshoot/research independently and resolve WCS issues
- Ability to multi-task, required
- Ability to read, write and speak English, required
