What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a talented Recruiting and Human Resource professional to take our team from 50 to 100 employees in the coming year. We need someone who is excited about building a department, more-or less from scratch, and running with it.
You will be responsible for providing excellent service to internal employees and external candidates and vendors, serve as a solid thought-partner and strategic advisor to the leadership team when it comes to all things evolving and developing within the startup community, and helping to identify new opportunities to add value to the team culture and company as we grow.
You are known for your ability to establish trust, communicate effectively, and foster culture change with a variety of stakeholders. You will be the direct link between the people within the company and those excited to be a part of it in the coming years.
You will be the culture carrier for CityBase.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with C-level leadership to manage day-to-day recruiting and human resource operations and present the quintessential first impression for all candidates interested in being part of the team
Supercharge the interview strategy; seek out and proactively identify quality dev, sales and product talent; track applicants, coordinate and lead interview discussions, and provide solid recommendations for hiring decisions
Serve as the key contact and counselor for all candidates and new hires; be highly responsive to their needs and inquiries and ensure a seamless and successful on-boarding experience
Manage employment compliance and all administrative matters (on-boarding and training, insurance and benefit election, compensation and payroll accuracy with accounting and finance team, personnel files, etc.)
Develop and lead the bi-annual performance review process. Track manager development and plan for retention
Provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching regarding issues of managerial style, communications, and employee interactions. Investigates and handles all employee relations issues and complaints.
Work closely with various vendors to administer programs (payroll, 401K, benefits, insurance) and work with vendors to continuously improve employee offerings.
Qualifications:
You have 3-5 years recruiting with an emphasis on proactively identifying and recruiting top talent (HR experience is a strong plus but not a must for this role – can be learned)
Excellent communication skills, the ability to read people, and the desire to build great interpersonal relationships
Outstanding organizational skills, can work independently, and a close attention to detail
Demonstrated initiative, judgment and maturity, deals with confidential information with the utmost discretion, respect and care
Professional, with strong work ethic and collaborative style
Flexibility to deal with last minute changes, the ability to remain calm under pressure, comfortable working with minimal direction, flexibility to work overtime as needed, and comfortable with working occasional evenings and weekends
Willing to get hands dirty and play an active role in all aspects of the hiring management process
