Built In is a rapidly growing seed funded startup with incredible investors including Joe Mansueto, The Pritzker Group, MATH Venture Partners, The Firestarter Fund, David Cohen, Ellen Carnahan, Michael Polsky, Dundee Venture Capital and JumpStart Ventures. We are now in five (almost six!) markets with aggressive growth plans and need to grow our Sales Team.We are looking for a smart, self-motivated and highly-driven Sales superstar to join the Built In Sales Team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR), located at our headquarters in downtown Chicago. This role is a key factor in the growth and success of the amazing Built In Sales Team.
The Built In SDR will be responsible for all initial outbound prospecting to our potential customers. The SDR will navigate a number of external resources to identify target customers and conduct high-level conversations with decision-makers to understand their needs and qualify for a potential fit with our Built In Member solutions. It’s a great opportunity to work hand-in-hand with the Sales Team to supply warm leads and open the door for relationships that will drive the continued success, growth and expansion of Built In. It is an even better opportunity for someone who would like to eventually build and manage a team, as this role will be the first of many SDRs for Built In.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive Built In’s revenue growth through developing qualified leads, opportunities and setting appointments for the Sales Team
- Research prospect contact information and the best ways to develop a relationship
- Orchestrate discussions with senior execs and decision makers around their business needs
- Educate prospects on Built In’s Employer Branding & Recruitment solutions
- Manage, track and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects using Salesforce & other internal tools
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual quota
- Highly motivated, entrepreneurial and goal-oriented, yet humble team player
- 2-3 years of experience in Sales Development, Lead Generation, Sales (Recruitment industry experience a plus)
- Proven track record of success
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Proficient in using Salesforce.com and LinkedIn
