MAIN COURSE (Job Responsibilities):

The Senior Supply Planning Analyst will be responsible for the analytics to support procurement and inventory management leading to inventory optimization, improved fill rate and minimizing any expediting costs. The Sr. Analyst will design and develop inventory management and procurement metrics & reports to support the business requirements, and will play a key role in Business Process Documentation, Design and Improvement.

  • Responsible for maintaining proper product inventory levels. Analyzes data from MRP/ERP system and prepares reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution
  • Designs, develops, and performs analysis on key inventory KPIs to determine when KPIS are out of acceptable tolerances, to determine root causes, and to identify unfavorable trends requiring attention. Responsible for tracking, analyzing, and communicating performance and exceptions.
  • Work with the Demand Planning Manager, promotions and category management teams to support the rollout of new products, inventory replenishment and promotional inventory planning.
  • Work with Demand Planning Manager to improve the Business Unit's Forecasting Process - Participate in SKU management analysis to help identify those sku's that are underperforming.
  • Identify current & future out of stock/low stock positions and put action plan in place to restock.
  • Performs cost benefit analysis for supplier efficiency programs and other supply chain projects that may affect Supply Chain KPIs.
  • Responsible for key inventory management improvement initiatives and provide data driven insight and resolution recommendations.
  • Supports cross functional end to end Supply Chain meetings for key product launches, promotions, and/or new item launches with Demand Planning, promotions, category management and other key functions.
  • Performs data analysis on KPIs and makes actionable recommendations.  Tracks and facilitates the completion of action items. Distributes timely and comprehensive communication to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Responsible for analyzing and making recommendations for IT system enhancements, and/or the development of new supply chain capabilities (processes, systems, and monitors) based on analysis of opportunities. 
  • Responsible for working with IT to define requirements, test, and implement new capabilities.
KEY INGREDIENTS (Position Requirements):
  • BS in Supply Chain, Logistics or an analytical discipline or equivalent experience is required. MBA/ advanced degree a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain operations, inventory or production planning in Consumer Durables manufacturing.
  • At least 3 years of experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Prior experience with statistical safety stock, model and option planning, and new product inventory planning, along with a background in inventory reduction and product rationalization techniques will set you apart from other applicants
  • Solid understanding and use of statistical software to manipulate analyze and interpret data.
  • Technical skill and advanced proficiency with Access, Excel and ERP systems will also all be key to your ability to analyze and summarize data into actionable summary reports, translate user requirements into useful and actionable data.  
  • Experience building queries with Structured Query Language (SQL) a plus.
  • Experience facilitating requirements sessions and documenting activity workflows and business requirements.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization.
  • Strong ability to multitask and handle competing priorities at once. Teamwork - ability to work well with others from various departments and values the perspective team members bring to a project.

Addison in a village located in the Chicago Metropolitan Area in DuPage County. Pampered Chef is Addison's largest private employer and has had a great relationship with the Village for decades!
