Talent Specialist - Tech

We are looking for an experienced Talent Specialist to join our team. Your work will specifically focus on finding and hiring technical talent. You will work collaboratively with Technical leaders to help build their teams, offering both strategic guidance and tactical talent acquisition support. Your love of building relationships, networks and communities is unmatched, and you thrive in coaching candidates and hiring managers to successful outcomes. You will work alongside the rest of the Talent Team to ensure hiring, onboarding and development of Sprout team members is unparalleled, and you will generally contribute to Sprout being an exceptional employer.
Responsibilities
- Find the best people in Chicago and get them in the door. Sprout Social only wants the best of the best, so find them, assess them, get them excited, and “wow” our hiring managers.
- As a full-cycle recruiter for our Technical teams, you are responsible for doing anything and everything that you think this entails, plus some. You will source, screen, interview, communicate with and coach candidates daily.
- Make every candidate feel like a million bucks. We are flattered when people want to work with us, so let them know that through timely and personal communication (including those who won’t be moving forward).
- Facilitate decision making and understand the ever-changing needs of your hiring teams on a deep level.
- Contribute and support across the Talent Team’s work as needed.
- Attend events and conferences as needed to support all recruiting efforts.
- Manage all of the details that come with the recruiting process with ease.
- You are the Sprout brand and culture personified - relish in all that this entails.
- Identify new pockets of talent in Chicago and across the nation, and then strategize on how to connect with them (conferences, meetups, groups, etc).
- Better Sprout’s Talent function through regular checkins with new hires and contribution to continued team growth, process refinement and holding a critical eye on how to make Sprout a stronger organization.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in technical talent acquisition
- Proven success in recruiting technical talent, with preference for success in recruiting lower-level programming candidates (Java, Python, Infrastructure, DevOps, Data, etc)
- Strong organizational and presentation skills, work ethic and attention to detail
- Experience building strong working relationships across all levels of an organization
- Strong interpersonal, communication and consultative skills
- Strong ethics and the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Flexible in all aspects of a high volume environment that moves and changes fast, and you thrive in ambiguity
- Evidence as both a sourcer and interviewer who loves the hunt for great candidates
- Natural ability to connect with people, and a strong drive to understand them
