We are seeking an experienced, positive, relationship-oriented Senior Manager, Business Development – Influencer to manage our Talent Relations Team and help us meet and help thousands of new women this year and beyond.

Corporate Headquarters: River North, Chicago; Bioscience and Farm Operations: Longmont, CO. Role is remote with opportunities for meet ups with team members when safe to do so.

About the Role

The Business Development – Influencer function at Equilibria has historically been the company’s strongest growth driver. Its success contemplates a sales model that focuses on conversion among is affiliates’ robust digital platforms, reaching millions and converting thousands each month. Senior Manager, Business Development – Influencer , reports directly to the VP of Business Development and is responsible for the affiliate model’s success. The key success metric is ensuring adherence to Equilbria’s revenue plan by growing the affiliate base consistently month over month, and strengthening existing relationships to perform more efficiently. When presented with challenges, the Senior Manager, Business Development – Influencer will proactively optimize strategy with a data-driven approach to increase confidence in plan, articulating clear resource needs with a case for positive ROI.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, and continuously train and coach all tenures of sales-oriented, independent, articulate, pro-active Influencer managers capable of establishing authentic relationships with Influencers across channels to help the Influencer achieve her sales goals. Manage out underperformers and design incentive structures to nurture top performers
  • Design a clear, accountability-focused organization with defined roles for each team member to support the fundamental goals of influencer growth and conversion/ influencer. Evolve and optimize structures in partnership with the VP of Business Development as needed.
  • Build and execute team strategy and tactics to ensure ROI positive, monthly, quarterly, and yearly budget management, KPI metrics, and monthly, quarterly, and yearly quantitative goal attainment.
  • Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of a growing team of talent relationship managers responsible for managing their book of business’ monthly performance, recruiting new talent to promote the Equilibria Brand, and part ways with poor fit partners. Provide daily support to Influencer Managers with levers to achieve new customer and retention goals through all the Influencer lifecycle stages:
    • Inform and communicate team performance goals in conjunction with building strategy to help each person on the team reach them.
    • Skills training including but not limited to: Written and verbal communication, objection handling, account management, prospecting, organization, negotiation, etc
    • Influencer Conversations, Onboarding, Coaching & Product Education
    • Content & Messaging Strategy (evergreen & seasonal/ promotional) including but not limited to: Informing promotional plans, creating creative content for influencers, etc
    • Build ever lasting relationships with our influencer community through calls, emails, partners calls, and on-site gatherings.
    • Managing out under performers, whilst always maintaining a bench of new hire prospects
  • Improve the performance of the team month-over-month through improving acquisition funnel metrics and ensure top-of-funnel leads are being sourced, distributed, and closed to meet required growth.
  • Create a team culture that rewards a systematic approach to scaling paired with a strong sense of ownership and accountability– i.e., high adoption of GRIN, methodical approaches to prospecting, accountability to Master Partnership Tracking, celebration of top performers, big team moments, leadership observations, and opportunities for improvement
  • Oversee external influencer programming throughout the year that builds community and rapport among influencers and with core EQ team
    • One on One coaching sessions
    • New Partner Zoom Calls
    • Recurring edu-series and webinars
  • Proactively work cross-functionally with key teams such as content, product, growth, member education, ops, leadership members and company executives .
  • Be a contributing participant in company wide meetings (ie, Coming XF/group meetings and weekly 1on1’s prepared with a strategic POV, data to support this POV, and proposed next steps.
  • Create, control and manage meeting structure, plan and outcomes for Business Development – Influencer team while giving appropriate accountability and clear ownership to your team

About the Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred
  • 3+ years experience managing fast-paced influencer marketing programs results-driven KPIs, monthly success metrics, and strong sales approach to execution
  • 4+ years experience where strong direct people management and daily KPI execution was necessary to drive business results in a fast-paced and demanding setting. Early growth stagcompany experience is a plus
  • Analytical, with advanced Microsoft Office and Google Drive skills. Experience with CRMs, a strong plus
  • Proven examples of highly resourceful moments of problem-solving and execution
  • Proven examples of direct report coaching moments that lead to skill and performance improvement.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present to large groups and non-technical stakeholders
