What will your day look like?

You will be responsible for the Solutions architecture of existing and new systems, creates high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms and third-party systems. You will ensure alignments of project specific design with application architecture roadmap; supporting project and/or product teams on functional and technical design activities; defining the interaction between application packages, database, and middleware systems to optimize product functional coverage, acting as subject matter expert (SME) for products that require integration into the application. Architect will review and design for digital products, identify and determine technologies that will enhance development of products and services. Participate in strategic and tactical planning and design sessions with product management, application management, other discipline architects, operations and software engineering teams. Activities will include:

  • Integration strategy of core systems that interface with Digital (API frameworks, etc.)
  • Collaboration on UI/UX Digital strategy
  • Collaboration on overall Digital product integration architecture
  • Design and creation of new applications design patterns using Microsoft stack as well as other open source solutions where applicable
  • Define Mobile software solutions in the Android/iOS application environments
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design and deliver software solutions that deliver business value
  • Collaborate with partner teams to define deliverables and create documentation
  • Develop solution concepts
  • Analyze relevant information and prepare recommendations to guide teams in building high-quality solutions
  • Proactively identify risks. Anticipate issues and guide teams through complex situations

Strategic

  • Perform gap analysis of current architecture and implementations against strategic roadmaps
  • Lead high level designs and prototyping initiatives for web and mobile platforms
  • Assist management in the development and execution of online and mobile strategic plans

 Development:

  • Assist management in establishing and enforcing team best practices, policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring all development practices are in compliance.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies that affect web and mobile development to enhance the learning and development of team members.

Operational:

  • Assessing and improving on current architectures, especially in scaling and performance
  • Producing key technical architecture deliverable such as technical requirements documentation & conceptual technical architecture
  • Provide guidance and training to other credit union employees to assist in applicable requirements and administration of policy and procedures for web and mobile applications.

 

Adhere to and ensure compliance of all business transactions with policy and process of the Bank Secrecy Act. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, company procedures and policies. Maintains integrity and ethics in all actions and conversations with or regarding credit union members and their accounts; complies with Privacy Act directives.

 

Where permitted by applicable law, successful applicants to this position must either have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered (proof of vaccination is required), or be willing to submit a negative COVID-19 test result in advance of each visit to an Alliant facility.

You’ll be a great fit if in addition to the Completion of a Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years Information Technology experience required, and you have:

 

  • Experience in application and/or product feature design
  • Experience in application development platforms and/or languages HTML/CSS/Java/ASP.Net)
  • Experience in cloud computing (SaaS / PaaS)
  • Experience in Azure DevOps and/or continuous deployment and/or integration process and tools
  • Experience in solution architecture

  • Application Layer Technologies: .NET framework, MVC Framework, NUnit, Mocking techniques using MOQ, MSMQ, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET Custom Resource provider, Entity Framework, WCF, ASMX, SOAP, XSLT, XML, WSDL, REST based web service
  • Application Security: Security using SSL, SSO, Client Certificate Authentication, Windows Authentication using Active Directory programming
  • User Interface Technologies: WinForms, WebForms, MVC, Custom .net UI Controls for WebForms, Custom helpers in MVC framework, AJAX, JSON, HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Angular JS
  • Software Development Methodology: SAFe Agile development methodology, SOA Technical Designs, Business requirement gathering, Multi-tier applications with thorough knowledge and experience in each layer, Web Farm environment, Production Support

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Mobile Development Technologies: HTML5/CSS3 and related technologies, Apple X Toolkit, Android SDK, mCommerce Application Development, Objective C, Swift, Cross platform development tools (Xamarin), Mobile Device testing, Adaptive/Responsive Front End Design Patterns

Other skills:
