Job Description

Position Summary

 

The New Ventures team is part of the newly formed and ambitious Disruption group within the North American Growth Office, responsible for opening new frontiers of growth through acquisition, joint ventures and partnerships. Reporting to the Head of New Ventures, the Senior Manager, New Ventures will be responsible for crafting North American M&A strategy and ensuring alignment with leadership and key business partners. The individual will be an integral part of our growth pillar holding an analytical approach and keen understanding of industry trends & customer needs, aimed to help build a Kraft Heinz approach to an evolving marketplace in partnership with business leaders from across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for evaluating and building the dynamic funnel of targets for M&A, joint ventures and partnerships for North America. This individual will have a pulse on upcoming businesses and entrepreneurs who have brands and capabilities that align with our growth strategy.
  • Work with leadership to shape Kraft Heinz New Ventures strategy and deliver on growth objectives based on a keen understanding of industry trends, competitive dynamics and customer needs in an evolving marketplace, collaborating with the Global M&A, Consumer Insights, Digital Products and Business leads to ensure shared findings and strategies
  • Build a deep understanding of our key growth areas and concurrent relationships in these spaces to enable future partnerships and acquisitions for KHC
  • Lead in depth reviews of potential targets – including market assessments, capabilities and growth harmonies with Kraft Heinz to aid in building recommendations for leadership
  • Collaborate on potential M&A or divestiture opportunities, working with Global M&A and Leadership teams to assess and activate against such initiatives

 

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of cumulative business experience including 3+ years of core Marketing or Strategy
  • Undergraduate business degree required, MBA degree an asset
  • Possesses an agile attitude and thrives in a changing environment
  • Strong analytical skills competence (financial background or P&L management is an asset)
  • Thrives in an ownership environment working autonomously, with passion and enthusiasm
  • Demonstrates thought leadership and curiosity
  • Strong people skills, and ability to influence through informal relationships
  • Strong learning agility and demonstrates resiliency in complex and ambiguous situations
  • Excellent communication, organization and presentation skills
