We are seeking a Temporary Benefits Coordinator to augment our team as we embark on updating our HR Systems. This person thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a proven operator even in the most dynamic situations.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage benefit inbox and incoming mail; answer emails and send to appropriate team member when applicable
- Approve employee benefit enrollments & collect supporting documentation
- Download and submit invoices for processing
- Responsible for NY DBL reporting & payments
- Data entry into HRIS and/or carrier websites when applicable
- Assist with leave of absence process
- Coordinate with HSA provider and employees to resolve verification issues
You'll gain loads of experience in this role but before you do, you should have:
- 1-3 years of benefits and leave administration experience
- Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements of the benefits and leave of absence landscape
- Experience managing leave of absences across multiple states, applying various local, state, and federal requirements with the organization's leave programs
- A client service mentality, high touch approach of empathy and patience, all with an eye towards accuracy
- Experience with HRIS systems (UKG Pro preferred)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Flexibility to execute well in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organization
- Strong communication and organization skills, and commitment to continuous improvement
- The ability to help manage multiple tasks at once, prioritize accordingly and maintain attention to detail
