Data tech company Numerator just announced it is opening its new global headquarters in an iconic Chicago building.

Numerator will be taking over the twelfth floor of 24 East Washington St. This historic building was formerly the Marshall Field’s building and was designed by Daniel Burnham at the turn of the twentieth century. It’s now home to Macy’s.

Brookfield Properties purchased the top six floors of the building in 2018 and is in the process of converting them to office space

Numerator’s new HQ will span 60,000 square feet and have an open floor plan with 16-foot ceilings. The office will also have access to a roof deck and the building’s atrium. The space is due to be completed later this year.

Numerator previously leased 33,000 square feet in the Willis Tower, so the move will give the company almost double the amount of space. With all this new space the company has room to expand its employee headcount. Numerator plans to hire over 100 people by 2022, going from 250 local employees to more than 350. The company says these new jobs will “focus on advanced data analytics solutions and leading digital technologies.”

Numerator is a market intelligence firm that uses data to help brands gain insights on customers and their shopping habits. The company's customers include major enterprise companies including Clif Bar, MillerCoors, Guitar Center and Ace Hardware.

“We are proud to announce that our new location, like our company, is at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and great brands," Eric Belcher, Numerator CEO, said in a statement. "Our new headquarters is designed to further inspire the innovation, creativity and collaboration we're known for.”
