Chicago tech companies made several exciting announcements last week, including acquisition proposals and new funding announcements. CVS Health announced plans to acquire Oak Street Health. After weeks of speculation, CVS Health submitted a proposal to acquire the primary care network Oak Street Health. The network was founded in Chicago and uses its tech platform to provide affordable medical care for older adults. The deal is valued at $10.6 billion. [Built In Chicago]

Mattiq raised $15M. Mattiq uses AI to analyze chemical combinations to create sustainable chemical and fuel products. Last week the company publicly launched and raised a $15 million in a seed round led by Material Impact. Mattiq also appointed Jeff Erhardt as its new CEO. [Built In Chicago]

The Dibz was featured in the Built In Future 5 series. The Dibz is a Chicago startup that helps clothing brands sell their excess inventory at discounted prices to The Dibz members. The company was founded by Autumn Schultz and Brock Jones and has partnered with high-end brands and independent Shopify brands. Going forward, The Dibz hopes to build out its team. Beacon launched a direct-to-consumers product. Beacon is a women-owned business that develops personal and community health products. Its new D2C product is an internet-enabled room sanitizer that uses UV light to kill bacteria. The product is expected to ship in Q2 and starts at $499. [Chicago Inno]
