Lead credit and underwriting reviews for assigned LIHTC projects, produce investment proposals and launch memos, respond to investor inquiries, optimize bid review processes, mentor staff, and make credit decisions within authorized scope.

Lead review, troubleshoot, and maintain LIHTC Excel financial models from bid through closing and lifecycle. Coordinate tax and structuring with underwriting, fund accounting, investor relations, and external counsel. Conduct closing audits, produce stress analyses, manage post-closing changes, and adapt the organization's primary underwriting model to ensure tax and structural accuracy.

Provide legal support for fund and project transactions and compliance, including drafting and negotiating fund agreements, investor side letters, loan and warehouse documents, managing closings and outside counsel, handling transfers, KYC, HUD and local filings, and advising business teams on tax, securities, and structural matters.

Lead strategic and operational HR functions including Total Rewards, employee and workplace relations, risk management, compliance, and HR operations. Develop and implement compensation and benefits programs, oversee workers' compensation and return-to-work, advise leadership on complex employee matters, monitor KPIs, and partner with cross-functional teams to align HR strategy with organizational goals.

Lead talent and people strategy across full-cycle recruitment, learning and leadership development, employee engagement, organizational development, and workforce planning. Advise leaders, build pipelines, design development and performance programs, measure HR metrics, and improve employee experience to support NEF's mission and future priorities.

Serve as the front-desk and office operations lead: greet visitors, manage reception security and conference rooms, process and code invoices, coordinate travel and events, maintain office supplies and mail/copy room, provide first-level AV/IT support, and assist with internal events and administrative tasks for Chicago and national offices.

Manage and support Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Entra ID/Azure AD, Teams, SharePoint) and Chicago office network infrastructure. Administer identity and access (MFA, conditional access, RBAC), Fortinet firewall, VPN/LAN/WAN, troubleshoot connectivity, escalate incidents, coordinate with vendors/ISPs, monitor security logs and SIEM, manage Netskope access, and maintain documentation and automation opportunities.

Lead NEF's Project Management department overseeing underwriting, transaction execution, operational excellence, quality assurance, and cross-functional coordination across LIHTC, Structured Finance, and Predevelopment. Build and develop teams, standardize workflows, implement process improvements, ensure accurate reporting, and manage transitions to Asset Management while supporting increasing transaction volume and complexity.
