Provide administrative and operational support for Small Business Hubs and Sales Directors: manage schedules, travel, expense analysis and forecasting; prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence; support system access (including Salesforce), onboarding, data entry, and special projects. Act as SME for budgetary and user access questions and ensure data integrity.

Paid 10-week internship introducing rising seniors and graduate students to sales and client management in the employee benefits insurance industry. Interns will explore prospecting, quoting, selling, enrollment, onboarding, and relationship management; complete assigned business projects, job shadows, workshops, networking, and a capstone presentation. The role requires approximately 40 hours per week during regular business hours.

Develops into a marketing and technical expert representing Unum’s employee-benefit products. Builds relationships with insurance brokers, agents, and consultants; educates them on products, pricing, compliance, and sales solutions; supports enrollment, quoting, underwriting negotiations, pipeline development, customer acquisition, retention, and broker reviews. The role includes structured training, mentorship, product education, and obtaining insurance licenses within the assigned territory. Compensation transitions from base pay during training to uncapped commission-based earnings.
