We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and tech savvy marketing intern to join our marketing team. In this position, you will collaborate with our marketing team across multiple stages of market testing and marketing launch campaign development. Your work could include supporting our ongoing beta testing programs, market launch planning, internal communication planning and execution, social media strategy development, online community strategy and execution, marketing campaign development, marketing message testing, and marketing campaign execution.

As a Data Scientist, you'll be analyzing and experimenting with interaction data to find patterns in system or user behavior that can be used to inform business actions. For example, you will be involved in the analysis of audio waveforms helping to uncover patterns of audible factors that represent negative conversational dynamics in a call center. You may also develop models that use semantic context to fill in garbled or unrecognizable utterances without changing the meaning of the underlying sentence or phrase.  You'll then develop prototype applications in Python, MatLab, or R, that recognize these patterns to generate real-time event data that can be channeled into user applications.  Most of your work will be done from either our Chicago Loop office or our Deerfield headquarters, however you should also expect to interact directly with our clients from time to time.

We're looking to add an analyst to our analytics team.  This team is on a mission to explore the wealth of voice data available to us in order to find insights that will lead to new and powerful applications.  The best analysts have a knack for communicating compelling stories through the application of technical, analytical, and communication skills.  Using data to test hypotheses and the power of storytelling, you'll collaborate with our clients and product team to determine how to improve operations and business outcomes.

Developing components for voice applications based on call flow specifications. Implementing VXML/JSP components, Spring WebMVC controllers and related application components. Writing automated unit tests. Properly documenting application code.

Manage the entire project development life cycle from requirements to deployment to ensure timely deliverables, project success, and quality. Identify potential issues and risks and work collaboratively to resolve them. Implement best practices and proven methodologies for managing projects, including lessons learned from previous projects. Manage internal and external customer relationships and expectations through negotiation and partnering. Document all project artifacts and ensure that they are complete, organized, and stored appropriately. Actively learn and understand our proprietary voice technology. For example, you will be involved in the analysis of millions of caller interactions to uncover patterns how caller behavior over various vectors such as Time of Day, Determined User Experience, Previous User Patterns, Current User Behavior, Determined Customer Need. You will help determine new and useful patterns in the data. You'll then develop prototype applications in Python, MatLab, or R, that recognize these patterns to generate real-time event data that can be channeled into user applications.  Most of your work will be done from either our Deerfield headquarters or our offices in the Chicago loop, but you should also expect to interact directly with our clients from time to time.

We are adding another member to our security team at either our Deerfield or Chicago Loop location to further extend and protect an already highly secure environment. As an Information Security Engineer at Vail, you'll review security alerts, analyze security threats, find vulnerabilities, and offer solutions. You will also participate in projects requiring full security assessments, including reports on findings and proposals for improvement. You are not yet expected to be an expert in security, but you do need to have developed an intermediate level of experience in system and/or network administration, have hands-on experience, and know how to configure Linux systems from the ground up with a strong security posture. You will be working alongside a group of professionals with extensive backgrounds in security, networking, systems administration, and software development to design and deliver solutions to complex technical problems, so it is a great opportunity to develop expertise in security and compliance.

As part of the team, you'll be expected to coordinate with internal product teams to design and develop intuitive web applications using state-of-the-art technologies. Your work will be the main thing that our Fortune 500 clients and consumer users see when they interact with Vail's technologies. You'll work in small teams out of our office in Deerfield, IL, developing applications using the latest Java Frameworks, APIs and maybe some other technologies that your expertise or curiosity helps bring to the table. As a Network Engineer at Vail, you'll work on a team in designing, implementing, capacity planning, incident response, and trouble-shooting. You will work in a highly technical environment alongside software developers, systems engineers, and other network engineers to design and deliver solutions to complex technical problems.

As part of the team, you’ll be expected to coordinate with internal IP telephony and web product teams as you develop automated functional and load tests against these products’ web applications. You’ll work in small teams out of our offices in Chicago’s loop, using tools and languages including Selenium Webdriver, RSpec, Cucumber, Java, Ruby on Rails and Angular.
