About the Role

We are recruiting a US Head of Sales for an established leader in the optical and optoelectronics industry. This role involves overseeing and expanding the company’s business within the North American market. The ideal candidate will leverage industry expertise to identify key clients, drive sales strategies, and foster long-term partnerships with major accounts in the optical and imaging sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy Development: Formulate and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed company revenue goals, with a focus on optical lenses and modules for applications like AIoT, AR/VR, and security imaging.
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify and cultivate relationships with major clients, focusing on top-tier companies in sectors such as smart home, consumer electronics, and projection technology.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new opportunities and develop strategies to capture market share. Target high-value companies (e.g., Google, Apple, Bosch) for strategic partnerships.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, and R&D teams to ensure alignment between sales strategies and product innovations, ensuring competitive positioning in the market.
  • Team Leadership: Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing sales team in the US, providing guidance and resources to achieve ambitious sales targets.
Qualifications
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 8 years in sales management, ideally within the optical, optoelectronics, or imaging industries. Preferred experience includes companies such as Sunny Optical, Largan, or Tamron.
  • Start-Up Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a start-up or fast-paced environment, with a track record of adapting and driving growth.
  • Bilingual Skills: Proficiency in both Chinese and English, with strong communication and cross-cultural negotiation skills.
  • Technical & Sales Expertise: Deep knowledge of optical lenses and modules, especially for security and imaging applications. Ability to translate technical insights into effective sales strategies.
  • Leadership & Development Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a sales team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
  • Business Development Mindset: Proven ability to acquire and maintain high-value client relationships, with a focus on strategy and results.
  • Travel: Willingness to undertake short- and medium-term travel for client engagements and industry events within North America.
