Job DescriptionThe Reinsurance Accountant will assume responsibility for supporting the Operations department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Triaging of Operations inbox
- Chasing of QS bordereaux accounts
- Chasing of accounts receivable
- Allocation of cash receipts. Liaising with brokers on missing cash information
- Liaise with brokers and underwriters regarding queries, outstanding receivables and premium adjustments
- Other projects and/or tasks as required including helping with implementation of workflow
- A professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACA) is required with preference given
- Strong organizational, documentation and office skills including proficient use of Microsoft office applications
- Strong work ethic
- Natural ability to use initiative and work without supervision
- Problem solving ability
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with tight deadlines during peak periods
Additional Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Strong academic record which may/may not include a University degree
- Ability and willingness to work well and collaborate with others
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively at all levels
- Fluent in English
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
