Role Overview:
The candidate will be hired as an Intern and a member of Apogem Capital's Private Credit Internship Program. This is a 10-week program for rising Juniors-Seniors working towards a bachelor's degree with an interest in pursuing a career in finance. The program will build a foundation in credit investment underwriting, Leverage Buyout structuring, technical LBO modeling, investment financial analysis, and portfolio management skills through on-the-job and structured trainings. During your time in the program, you will have the opportunity to interact with senior investment professionals and members of Apogem Capital's Senior Leadership Team in a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative environment with people who are committed to helping you develop your skills and experience in Private Credit investing. Interns who are successful in the Private Credit Internship Program may be offered a full-time position as an Analyst at Apogem Capital.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Develop skills in financial modeling, financial statement analysis and data analysis
  • Assist in tracking portfolio performance including monitoring of financial performance and key portfolio company KPIs
  • Assist Apogem deal teams with evaluation and structuring of new investment opportunities
  • Evaluate industry and competitive dynamics
  • Assist in the preparation of investment committee memorandum and financial models
  • Participate in weekly trainings and case studies conducted by Apogem Capital's investment professionals

What You'll Bring:
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient understanding of the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements as well as how the three statements interact
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage numerous tasks simultaneously
  • High level of initiative and accountability
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook
  • 2028 Expected graduation working towards a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related fields with a Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or betterntescam

Pay Transparency
Salary range: $35-$40 / hour
Overtime eligible: Nonexempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: No
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
