What We're Looking For:

The purpose of this internship is to prepare students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide students with experiences that provide insights into a career with Zebra. Students will be positioned for success with training and hands-on experiences, invited to social and development activities, and provided a professional mentor relationship.
Must be flexible to work on assigned summer projects in one of the key focus areas in IT (Database Administration, IT Enterprise Solutions, Zebra Software Licensing, Business Intelligence & Data Analytics, Digital Automation & Innovation, or another assigned Zebra IT Function).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills
• Increase technology knowledge and skills, especially as it relates to Zebra's product portfolio
• Manage team-based work assignments
• Practice interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow-up activities
• Gain knowledge, insight, and understanding of business concepts, tools, and processes; learn to apply this knowledge appropriately in diverse situations
• Projects will be assigned based on business need matched with candidate skills and interest.
• Execute technical deliverables as defined in each summer project plan
• Support key IT Projects from various perspectives throughout the summer
• Visibility and interaction with senior Information Technology leaders
• Play an active role in the Zebra Internship Program activities (summer outings, community service events, zChats with Senior Leadership)
• Communication Skills – Clear and effective verbal and written communication
• Adaptability and Learning Agility – Willingness to learn quickly, embrace new tools or methods, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Technical Skills – Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic familiarity with technology solutions)
• Integrity – Commitment to ethical behavior and confidentiality   

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in a undergraduate degree program in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Sciences or related field.
• Must have an anticipated graduation date between May 2027-May 2029
• Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
• Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow
• Adept understanding of Generative AI tools with a willingness to learn how to apply them to streamline workflows and solve daily project challenges
• Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences
• Ability to collaborate as part of a team
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

 THIS IS A HYBRID INTERNSHIP LOCATED IN EITHER LINCOLNSHIRE, IL OR HOLTSVILLE, NY. THE EXPECTATION IS AT LEAST 3 DAYS OF IN-OFFICE ATTENDANCE.

Salary: USD $27.00- USD $29.00 Hourly
