Description

About the Role

We're building a brand-new AE segment focused on the upper mid-market to enterprise and looking for a hunter ready to build something and make their mark. No inherited book, no existing playbook. You're landing new logos, building your own pipeline, and setting the pace from day one.

Why now: AI agents are already acting inside the enterprise with real permissions and real access, and most security stacks weren't built to see them, let alone govern them. That's the problem we built Zenity to solve, and it's why Gartner named us the 'Company to Beat' in AI Agent Governance.

**Candidate must be based in Chicago, Austin or Dallas to be considered for this role**

About Zenity

Zenity is the leader in AI Agent Security and the first company to bring an agent-centric security platform to market. As enterprises accelerate AI agent adoption, we are establishing the security framework for how AI agents are secured and governed at enterprise scale. We deliver full-lifecycle visibility, governance, detection, prevention, and response for AI agents from build time to runtime, across SaaS, home-grown platforms, and end-user devices.

Backed by $180M+ in total funding, including a $125M Series C led by Norwest, with participation from SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Microsoft's M12, Zenity is trusted by Fortune 500 and Global 2000 enterprises worldwide.

Join us in shaping how AI agents are secured at enterprise scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Build your territory from the ground up, you're targeting upper mid-market to enterprise companies, where CISOs are actively looking to secure AI agents already running in their environment
  • Qualify and run full-cycle deals, from first conversation to close.
  • Lead technical discovery and manage proof-of-concepts from kickoff through completion, partnering closely with engineering resources when needed.
  • Win deals with velocity, align the right people fast and close
  • Partner with our channel team to find VAR, GSI, Alliances and hyperscaler-influenced opportunities in this segment
  • Help shape how we message and win this segment, you'll be part of the first team going after companies this size.
  • Travel within your territory as needed to build relationships and move deals forward
Requirements

What You’ve Done:

  • 3-5+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, closing full-cycle deals into mid-market or lower-enterprise accounts. Cybersecurity, application security, or cloud security experience required.
  • Proven hunter, track record of building and working your own pipeline from scratch, with win rates to back it up. You don't wait for leads, you go find them and close them.
  • Experience running a real sales process (discovery, technical evaluation, close)
  • Exposure to high-growth or venture-backed environments
  • Exposure to AI, security, or emerging technology ecosystems

What We Look For At Zenity
  • Proven ability to build, not just maintain, systems, processes, or relationships
  • Comfort operating in evolving, fast-moving environments where the playbook is still being written
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ownership mindset with accountability for outcomes, not just activity
  • Experience in high-growth or venture-backed environments
  • Exposure to AI, security, or emerging technology ecosystems

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently building and progressing pipeline in your territory within the first 90 days
  • Closing your first deals in this segment within 3 months, validating cycle length and deal size assumptions for the segment
  • Contributing real feedback back to the team on what's working in this motion, messaging, objections, ICP fit etc.

Why This Role

You're getting in early on a brand-new segment at Zenity, not inheriting someone else's territory or playbook. You'll have the autonomy of an Enterprise AE with a faster-moving, higher-velocity motion, and direct influence over how this part of the business gets built. If you want ownership over defining a segment rather than executing against someone else's established process, this is that seat.

Interview Process

Our interview process is designed to be transparent, conversational, and focused on real-world experience.

  • Recruiter Call (30)
  • Hiring Manager (45–60 minutes)
  • Sales Engineer (30 minutes)
  • People Team (45 minutes)
