Northern Illinois Territory | Remote / Home Office Based 

This position supports the Northern Illinois territory and can be based anywhere within the region. You will primarily work remotely from a home office while traveling throughout the territory to support customers and business growth. 

 

Your Opportunity:

As an Accurex Account Manager, you will take ownership of an established and growing sales territory, managing key customer relationships while driving new business growth across the commercial kitchen ventilation market. This is a high impact outside sales role for a motivated, relationship driven professional who thrives on autonomy, networking, and winning business. 

You will directly influence sales growth, customer partnerships, and territory expansion by delivering innovative HVAC and mechanical solutions to engineers, contractors, distributors, and purchasing teams throughout Northern Illinois. 

Accurex is a leader in commercial kitchen ventilation systems and HVAC solutions, delivering innovative products for restaurants, institutional kitchens, and foodservice facilities nationwide. Solutions include kitchen hoods, make up air systems, packaged rooftop units, exhaust fans, fire suppression systems,  

controls, and utility distribution systems. 

This is an opportunity to join an established territory with an active customer base and immediate sales opportunities. You will have strong earning potential with base salary + commission + long term growth opportunity. This role has remote flexibility with autonomy to manage your territory and schedule. We have a collaborative two-person office structure that supports a true work life balance and PTO flexibility. You receive a structured onboarding and ramp up period with hands on training and support to thrive in an entrepreneurial sales environment that allows high performers to make a visible impact.

What you'll be doing:

    • Build and grow customer relationships across contractors, engineers, distributors, and end users  
    • Drive territory sales growth through proactive business development and account management  
    • Identify customer needs and deliver tailored HVAC and mechanical system solutions  
    • Develop quotes, pricing, and product selections using CAPS software  
    • Partner with engineering, inside sales, and manufacturing teams to support customer projects  
    • Expand existing accounts while identifying and converting new business opportunities  
    • Represent Accurex at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events  
    • Travel throughout Northern Illinois to support customers and strengthen partnerships  

     

    What You Should Have:

    Education 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sales, Business, or related field preferred  

    Experience 

    • +5 years of experience in outside sales, account management, or mechanical sales preferred  

    • Experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, industrial products, or technical sales preferred  

    • Technically inclined professionals from related industries encouraged to apply  

    • Relationship driven outside sales and territory management  

    • Business development and customer growth strategies  

    • Technical product sales and solution based selling  

    • Negotiation, presentation, and customer communication  

    • Managing sales pipelines and achieving revenue targets  

    Systems and Software 

    • CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and quoting software experience preferred  

    • AutoCAD, Inventor, or related technical software experience is a plus

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    Greenheck Group takes pride in providing competitive total compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package as part of our total rewards program. Compensation for this role includes a base salary plus a competitive commission structure tied to performance metrics, with an anticipated total annual compensation range of $80,000 to $208,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
