ALFA is recruiting a Lead Accountant to handle several stimulating responsibilities. Responsibilities: 
  • Maintain precise financial records, including ledgers and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Process payroll efficiently, handling taxes and deductions accurately.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial transactions meticulously.
  • Provide insightful financial information and recommendations to management.
  • Develop accounting processes, controls, and lead a team of accounting specialists effectively.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, with at least 2 years in a senior position.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to manage small portfolios and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with accounting software (Quickbooks, Xero, Sage and Netsuite)
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lead a team successfully
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of accounting principles, controls, and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication in English and French
