CSuite Financial Partners/Ravix Group LLC has been retained by our client, a rapidly growing indentity verification and fraud prevention technology company, to place an Accounting Manager on their team.


This role will report to the VP of Finance and own operating expenses in addition to general end-to-end accounting functions. This is a hands-on role that will lead the monthly close, manage a team, and build a scalable system and processes for this fast-growing company in the fintech industry.


While this role is remote, candidates located near offices in Austin, Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco and New York are encouraged to regularly spend time at the local offices

Responsibilities

  • Own monthly close, consolidation, and financial statement preparation across multiple entities.
  • Manage all non-revenue accounting areas, including operating expenses, accruals, prepaid expenses, payroll, and equity.
  • Lead and develop a team of 3 accountants, continuously improving close speed and reliability.
  • Identify and drive improvements to accounting processes, systems, and controls to support scale.
  • Lead the end-to-end audit process for non-revenue areas and partner on technical accounting matters.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of accounting experience.
  • Experience owning monthly close, OPEX and general accounting processes in a multi-entity environment.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Track record of improving accounting processes and systems in a growing company.
  • Experience with audits and working with external auditors.
  • Experience working with a growth startup (<500 employees, Series C or earlier). No pure large-company background will be a fit
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior accounting staff.
  • Big 4 or public accounting background, combine with startup experience, will be given strong preference.
  • Active CPA license, ideally but not required.
  • Experience with foreign currency consolidation and intercompany transactions, a plus.
