JOB DESCRIPTION

The Big Ten Network (BTN) is seeking a detail-oriented Advertising Operations Freelancer. The Advertising Operations Freelancer will support the planning, setup, and execution of digital advertising campaigns across multiple platforms during live B1G+ streams. B1G+ is Big Ten Network’s direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service.

This freelance position runs for the duration of the academic calendar (August through May), offering 40 hours per week. This position will report to the Director of Streaming and will be based out of Big Ten Network’s Chicago, Illinois office.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate the setup, launch, and execution of ad insertions during live B1G+ streams across web, mobile, and connected TV devices
  • Monitor advertising campaign performance and manage trafficking/tracking setup
  • Generate daily/weekly campaign performance reports for internal stakeholders to identify trends, insights, and recommendations for optimization
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with platform policies and guidelines
  • Effectively communicate status, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Flexible to work non-traditional schedule, most commonly nights and weekends
  • Familiarity with digital advertising operations, ad serving platforms, and programmatic advertising
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion and knowledge of Big Ten Athletics beyond football and basketball
     

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Bachelor’s degree in media, Advertising, or a similar combination of education, training, and experience working with digital media and streaming products

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $20.00 per hour.
