About This Opportunity  

As an Advisor, HR Advisory (internally known as Advisor, AskHR), you will play a pivotal role in delivering responsive, consistent and high-quality HR advice to a diverse client group. Working within a collaborative and purpose-driven People Services environment, you will contribute to a service model that enables staff and leaders to thrive, supporting UQ’s commitment to creating change together through excellent people practices.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering timely, clear and accurate HR advice across a broad range of matters, ensuring consistent application of policies and frameworks.

  • Supporting operational HR service delivery, including contributing to HR initiatives and projects aligned to strategic priorities.

  • Acting as a trusted adviser to stakeholders, providing expert guidance on recruitment, performance management, case management, employee relations and policy interpretation.

  • Building strong relationships across HR and client groups to support seamless service delivery and continuous improvement.

About You   
  • Degree qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.

  • Demonstrated experience providing end-to-end HR policy advice and administrative support across multiple HR processes within established frameworks.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and resolve complex and sensitive HR matters.

  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders in a professional advisory environment.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver clear and practical advice.

  • Experience working within complex organisational structures or policy-driven environments.

  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
