At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology.Key Responsibilities • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities for professional services, focusing on both new and existing accounts. Develop and execute strategies and detailed business plans to expand market share and drive revenue growth. • Sales Enablement: Serve as an overlay resource to the core sales team, providing expertise in professional services offerings, value propositions, and solution design. Support sales cycles with presentations, demonstrations, and proposal development. • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Act as a consultant to understand client needs, pain points, and business objectives, and translate these into tailored service solutions. • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies relevant to professional services. Provide feedback to marketing and product teams to refine messaging and offerings. • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product & Industry Business Development, Marketing, Product Management, Product Development and Service delivery teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of go-to-market strategies. • Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities. Track and report on sales activities, forecasts, and results using CRM and sales analytics tools. • Thought Leadership: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer workshops. Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns and thought leadership initiatives. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. • 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or solution consulting, with a focus on professional services in the CAE market. • Proven experience in Aerospace/Defense or Automotive Industry preferably in one or more of the following areas of virtual product development: Structures, Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, Durability, Manufacturing, Fluid Dynamics, Acoustics, Materials or Autonomous Systems. • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a quota-carrying overlay or specialized sales role. • Deep understanding of professional services sales cycles, value-based selling, and consultative solution design. • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities. • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite. • Ability to travel as needed within the US. • US citizenship required; active or eligible security clearance is a plus, to enable work with US government and military clients. The annual salary range for Illinois is 144,200 to $267,800. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
