Position Summary

As a Senior AEM Content Author, you will deliver high‑quality, compliant, and customer‑centric content experiences across Aetna Medicare public websites. You’ll be part of a cross‑functional Marketing Technology team responsible for building scalable, accessible digital experiences within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

In this role, you’ll bring strong problem solving, technical expertise, and a clear sense of ownership. You are expected to look beyond task execution - collaborating with team members, identifying issues early, speaking up with recommendations, improving processes, and ensuring that the right work gets done to deliver meaningful outcomes for customers and the business.

This role sits within the Aetna Marketing Technology and Digital Experiences group (Aetna MarTech).

Your job responsibilities will be to:
  • Author, manage, and optimize complex web content within Adobe Experience Manager to support acquisition and retention goals.
  • Ensure content meets accessibility, SEO, brand, and regulatory standards in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
  • Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities before they impact delivery.
  • Troubleshoot content and rendering issues independently and partner with engineering when deeper technical support is needed.
  • Partner closely with Product, UX, Engineering, Analytics, Legal, and Compliance throughout the full content development lifecycle.
  • Work within an Agile team to plan, refine, and deliver content aligned to roadmap priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve authoring workflows, governance, templates, and standards.
  • Contribute to scalable processes that increase efficiency while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide guidance to junior authors and contractors, setting clear standards for quality and execution.
  • Lead by example and advocate for strong content and experience decisions.
  • Work in a fast-paced highly regulated environment governed by federal and state guidelines.
Who you are:
  • A Leader – You take initiative, speak up when something doesn’t look right, and are comfortable owning outcomes in a matrixed environment.
  • Analytical – You use data, requirements, and constraints to inform decisions and solve problems proactively.
  • Tech‑Forward – You are comfortable working deeply in Adobe Experience Manager and understand how content decisions impact technical execution. You are also comfortable with how automation can be part of building efficient scalable processes.
  • Collaborative – You communicate clearly and work effectively with diverse partners across business, design, and technology.
  • Accountable – You follow through, deliver what needs to happen, and hold yourself to a high bar for quality.
  • Process‑Minded – You look for ways to improve how work gets done, not just complete tasks.
  • Passionate & Invested – You care deeply about the quality of the digital experience and bring energy and purpose to your work.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in content authoring
  • Expert Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) content management skills

  • Experience working on agile team and leveraging tools, and work management tools such as JIRA
