Job Description SummaryThe Aero Gas Turbines Technical Manager is responsible for managing process and coordination of scope of work.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Establish a process to check the condition of the units before the procurement process.

  • Produce status reports of the surveyed units.

  • Coordinate with Engineering team all the required Refurbishment scopes of work.

  • Produce the list of required parts for the refurbishment process.

  • Use GE tools to order parts and raise engineering queries.

  • Estimate the budget of the Refurbishment work.

  • Contact the refurbishment facility (internal or external to GEV) and agree with them on:

    • Scope of work

    • Time schedule

    • Required Parts

    • Cost of the process

  • Supervise the work during execution

  • Obtain final report

  • Coordinate the time schedule of refurbishment among several units that need to be refurbished

Required Qualifications

  • 7 years in Construction and commissioning of Aero Gas Turbines TMs and LMs, electrical and Controls or Mechanical.

  • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.

  • OR High School Diploma with 7-10 years of experience in construction and commissioning of Aero Gas Turbines, TMs and LMs, electrical and controls or mechanical.

  • The work locations are in the Houston, Texas area as well as travel to other locations as needed.

  • 50% travel

Desired Characteristics

  • Prior experience in Operation, maintenance, commissioning of Aero gas turbines.

  • Prior experience in Power Plant operations and Maintenance.

  • Prior experience with Aero gas turbines systems.

  • Leads with a Lean mindset and is skilled in applying Lean tools to improving business operations. Specifically Daily Management, Standard Work, and Monthly Operating Reviews based on Bowler/KPIs.

  • Exhibits the GE Leadership Behaviors: acts with humility, leads with transparency, delivers with focus.

  • Strong IT skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Proven record of success working in a multicultural, regional, cross functional team.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $114,100.00 and $190,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
