We're building the AI platform for underserved industries.

LLM usage has seen a meteoric rise in the past year, but there is still a significant gap between agentic innovation and its use in the real world. This is especially true for underserved industries like automotive and healthcare, where outdated systems persist due to barriers to entry, legacy software, and high-stakes consequences of hallucinations and failure.
Here at Toma (YC W24), we are bridging this gap by providing a customer-centric platform to deploy and monitor AI agents, even for non-technical users. We recently raised a $17M Series A from a16z and are building the future of human-AI interactions, starting in the automotive industry.
Our Team
We’re a 20-person crew of builders, operators, and competitors from places like Scale AI, Uber, and Microsoft. What we share is a bias toward ownership and action. When a customer depends on us, we deliver.

About this Role

This role has come into existence because of AI advancements. We are looking for an AI BDC Manager that will help manage a swarm of AI agents for our customers. From getting them onboarded, ready to answer the phones to ensuring successful interactions, you will be in charge the point of contact for our customers and help them achieve success.

We’re looking for someone who takes full ownership of dealer onboarding and account success. From the moment a store signs to the day operations are fully live, you will make sure every step happens on time with precision and care.
You will be the central point of coordination between dealership teams and Toma. You will keep communication clear, track every detail, and ensure nothing slips through the cracks. Your focus is on follow-through and making sure each rooftop feels supported at every step.
What You Will Do
Ensure configurations are accurate, tested, and live without issues

  • Lead the onboarding process end to end for new dealership clients

  • Serve as the main point of contact for dealers during implementation and after go-live

  • Train BDC, service, and sales teams on daily workflows, call handling, and appointment scheduling

  • Coordinate across internal teams to remove blockers quickly

  • Ensure configurations are accurate, tested, and live without issues

  • Maintain clean, detailed records in HubSpot and internal systems

  • Monitor timelines and performance metrics such as set rate, show rate, contact efficiency, and CSI impact

  • Build repeatable playbooks that deliver consistent results across multiple rooftops

What You Will Grow Into
As Toma scales, you will shape how modern BDC operations run across our network. You will build the systems, training, and reporting that keep dealers confident and teams aligned. You will be at the center of our execution and our reputation.

You Might Be a Fit If You
Have 3–7 years of experience managing or training a Sales or Service BDC in a dealership or group

  • Are highly organized and detail-oriented, with a talent for keeping multiple threads moving

  • Communicate clearly and consistently with both store leadership and front-line teams

  • Take full ownership of outcomes and follow through until completion

  • Care deeply about creating great experiences for customers

  • Thrive in fast-moving environments and stay composed under pressure

  • Are comfortable with Schedulers and DMS tools such as Dealer-fx, MyKaarma, Tekion, CDK, or Reynolds

Why This Role Matters
Our growth only matters if every dealership we sign becomes a long-term success story. This role ensures that happens. You will keep onboarding tight, communication clear, and performance moving in the right direction. You will bring structure, urgency, and empathy to every account so launches set a new standard for excellence.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary with meaningful equity

  • Free health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Free in-office lunch and dinners

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Health, wellness, and education stipends
