About Grubhub

At Grubhub, we champion restaurants from coast to coast. Restaurants sit at the heart of communities. It’s our mission to strengthen their roots, deepen their connections, and increase the positive impact they have on people and society.

Grubhub, part of Wonder, delivers the best local, authentic cuisine right to diners’ doors—and new customers and billions in revenue to local businesses. Featuring over 375,000 merchants in over 4,000 cities nationwide, our innovative technology, user-friendly platforms, and streamlined delivery capabilities have made us an industry leader in the world of online food ordering.

Since we opened our doors in 2004, Grubhub has been opening doors all across the country. Bakery doors in Hyde Park, jibarito joint doors in Queens, and doors of opportunity all across the country. Join our team and help us open more.

About The Opportunity

Grubhub is looking for an innately curious, data-driven Business Analyst to join our Corporate Rev Ops & Analytics team. The Corporate team is responsible for leading Grubhub’s B2B business helping other businesses increase efficiency and attract and retain top talent by connecting them with their favorite local restaurants.  With group ordering, catering and corporate-friendly features like budgets, rules and consolidated billing, feeding the office has never been easier.

In this role, you will use a deeply analytical approach to support projects such as helping corporate customers get more value from our offerings, optimizing strategic marketing campaigns, and ensuring we retain our best customers. To succeed you should approach work like an owner. You will be handed tough problems with limited context, and you’ll be expected to ask smart questions and move things forward with little additional direction.

The Impact You Will Make

  • Leverage large, potentially messy data sets to derive insights that guide stakeholders across the company to capitalize on key areas of opportunity

  • Identify trends and shifts in customer behavior related to the release of new programs and products, and make recommendations for improving retention and driving growth

  • Analyze performance of lifecycle marketing campaigns (acquisition, product marketing, CRM) to develop strategic insights informing marketing investments and optimizations

  • Create reports and dashboards to inform and empower everyone on the team to make better decisions

  • Drive ad-hoc analyses for cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Customer Success, Marketing, and Care

  • Be curious! Find data nuggets, trends, and other analytical goodies that help us grow faster and generate more profit.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field

  • 2-4 years of experience in an analytical role; start-up, e-commerce, or technology background a plus

  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to dive deep, summarize, and communicate important data

  • Ability to solve ambiguous problems and make sense of complex and interconnected systems

  • Critical thinker with strong analytical skills (SQL, Excel, and Tableau)

  • Track record of driving results on cross functional teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communicator

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with ambitious goals

As a matter of company policy, Wonder does not sponsor applicants for employment visa status for this role.

Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office. That said, many team members choose to come in more often to take advantage of in-person collaboration and connection. You're welcome—and encouraged—to be in the office up to 5 days a week if it works for you.
