Position Purpose:

Trade Credit Analyst serves as a strategic and innovative partner focused on supporting business growth as part of a world-class controllership organization.

The Trade Credit Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day activities for Order to Cash (OTC) specifically related to our Trade Credit business. This role partners with internal teams and external business partners such as our customers and the Credit and Pro teams to help resolve discrepancies, solve problems, and constantly improve the accounting trade credit processes. This role needs foundational accounting skills in accounts receivable, cash, revenue, and reporting. 

As an Analyst, you will work on task-based activities, including but not limited to cash application, invoice adjustments and refunds, reconciliations, and other month-end tasks within SAP, Blackline, and other third party applications. Additional responsibilities include supporting departmental and strategic projects, collaborating with project/product managers, and balancing your own workload. This role is expected to present continuous improvement recommendations to managers and leaders as well as execute on some of these improvements. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • 5% Collaboration - Effectively develops trust and collaboration with internal and external partners and colleagues; Obtain an understanding of technical needs for tackling business problems
  • 80% Operational Duties - Learn and execute required tasks related to the delivery of the (PTP, OTC, RTR) tower; Work coordinately with other teams providing or receiving information as needed; Support work that needs to be done with internal or external customers; Creates regular reports for the leadership; assists with or produces other reports as requested; Raises risks and issues in a timely manner; Identify and presents possible improvements to upper management; Executes month end / year end processes; Monitor and works towards meeting KPIs and SLAs defined for the area; Assists FBS manager with gathering data, research and analysis
  • 10% Project Management & Team Support - Works with project teams and business partners to complete project goals; Prioritized assignments and ensure quality and accuracy of work
  • 5% Skill Building & Professional Development - Seeks further knowledge on new tools and technologies (e.g., analytics, intelligent automation, robotics); Participates in the continuous improvement of financial shared services processes and tools

Travel Requirements:

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)

  • Experience with SAP, Blackline, or other accounting software programs

  • Understanding of Cash, Accounts Receivable, Revenue, and other Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards

  • Order to Cash experience, including account reconciliation preparation and payment application processing

  • Ability to work independently and complete work on schedule within a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team to complete operational tasks and projects as assigned

  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and research skills

  • Ability to prepare and present clear, concise administrative, and financial reports

Minimum Education:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
