What You’ll Do 

 

Application Developers at Investortools design and build application functionality through technical analysis, testing, and debugging within our existing software suite, leveraging a robust library of internally developed tools. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy solving complex analytical problems and delivering scalable, high-impact solutions for end users. You will translate user and business requirements into well-structured technical solutions, evaluate design options, and ensure outcomes are reliable and efficient. 

 

In this role, clear and precise communication is essential, as you will regularly explain complex system behavior, design decisions, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences. As a hands-on contributor in a fast-paced environment, you will collaborate closely with client services, software developers, and other team members to design, test, and refine solutions. 

 

Responsibilities 

 

  • Learn and develop proficiency in Investortools’ industry-leading software platform, with a focus on content, controls, information architecture, and system behavior. 
  • Build a strong understanding of fixed-income investing and how clients leverage technology to support investment workflows. 
  • Analyze complex technical and analytical problems to develop effective, scalable solutions. 
  • Translate client and business requirements into clear technical designs and well-structured implementations. 
  • Create concise project proposals and documentation that accurately capture requirements and solution approaches. 
  • Design, build, and deliver customized client solutions using internally developed tools. 
  • Collaborate closely with analysts, software developers, internal engineering teams, and client stakeholders throughout the project life cycle. 
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly through written documentation, interactive demonstrations, and direct collaboration.

What We’re Looking For 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science, Business, Finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, or similar fields. 
  • Desire to learn and support a robust software suite 
  • Able to work collaboratively across disciplines with excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills. 
  • Enjoy a rapid-paced iterative design and development process. 
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure, manage projects, and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality results. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

This is an exempt position anticipated to be between $60,000 - $80,000 annual salary based on experience and knowledge shown in the interview process.
