Job Description

Application Engineer with Oil and Gas Experience. 

Currently hiring Application Engineers to work as consultants on site with our global oil and gas clients.

Responsibilities Include:

Work with Project/Design Engineers who are responsible for the management of construction projects for the installation of petrochemical and manufacturing facilities. Projects could focus on serving as the Application Engineer on projects involving tanks, vessels, compressors, pumps, piping, motors, power distribution, telecommunication, and programmable logic control systems. Projects could also include: maintenance repair and replacement, improvements, additions, and capital installations. 

Installation and configuration of solutions, including onsite support for enterprise engineering software that assists our clients with enabling smarter designs and operations of chemical plants and refineries and offshore facilities. 

May provide technical support for internal and external customers (communications are performed via telephone, writing, and electronic mail). 

Assist services delivery organization in resolution of customer issues 

May provide on-site guidance on deployment of solutions at customer sites 

Lead and participate in requirements technical workshops and define functional requirements/design documentation 

Provide customer with hardware/software compatibility recommendations 

Implement and provide guidance during solution implementations to interface with third party products 

Review implementation projects to ensure delivery per applicable scope 

Assignments are generally performed at customer site as required. 

Applies basic principles, theories, and concepts to the solution of problems of a moderate or diverse scope. 

Incumbent is considered a fully competent professional in all conventional aspects of specific products. 

Ability to self-direct and has decision-making ability and can regularly interacts with other technical personnel and the end users at the client site.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience in consulting engineering, energy services, and/or utility energy programs
  • Familiarity with the Oil and Gas Industry or the Utility/Energy Industry
  • Experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases, data historians, VB 6.0/VB.Net, C++, C, C#, PLC, and .NET programming
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in client/customer facing environments
