Overview
The Assistant Designer – Jewelry / PD supports the end-to-end creation of jewelry collections, from concept through production.
This role collaborates cross-functionally with Merchandising, Sourcing, and Vendors to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality execution that reflects brand strategy and seasonal trend direction.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Product Development
- Support the full product development lifecycle, from concept to final sample approvals.
- Partner with the manager to translate sketches and inspiration into technical specs and product briefs.
- Assist in designing jewelry assortments — from spec packs to final prototypes — with the target customer in mind.
- Review samples and recommend design, proportion, and finish adjustments.
- Participate in product reviews to ensure brand consistency and design integrity.
Trend & Research
- Research seasonal trends, color, and materials to generate fresh, relevant ideas.
- Monitor the market and competitive landscape to identify innovation opportunities.
- Stay up to date on emerging jewelry techniques, materials, and finishes to inspire new designs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Merchandising and Sourcing to ensure cost, margin, and trend goals are met.
- Track sample development progress and manage timelines for on-time delivery.
- Support vendor communication and sample revisions.
- Prepare trend decks and assist with seasonal presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in design, or related field.
- Passion about design and love of jewelry is a plus.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PowerPoint; Miro experience a plus.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Positive, proactive, and collaborative mindset in a fast-paced environment.

All positions will be compensated at or above the legally mandated minimum wage for the location in which work is performed. The final compensation will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
