I’m looking for a corporate attorney to join my Legal & Compliance team at Flex. You’re going to be a key member of a small, high-impact team helping one of the most
innovative fintechs get even better. Your mandate is to own our corporate legal function,
from NDAs and commercial agreements to funding rounds and M&A. Part builder, part
doer, full-time owner.

We’re an AI-Native Financial Services company, and yes, we’re actually building AI tools for our own legal team. Feel like creating agentic help to sort, sift, and review contracts? It’s not only encouraged, it’s required. We want you to tap into your creativity to leverage AI in new ways, giving Flex actionable legal tech that works for the people who actually use it.

•  Negotiate NDAs, MSAs, SaaS contracts, vendor agreements, and the full
  spectrum of corporate agreements at Flex

• Own corporate governance. Cap table maintenance, board and stockholder
  resolutions, entity management, and equity plan administration. The
  unglamorous stuff that keeps the company legally sound and investor-ready

• Be in the room on M&A and strategic transactions, from early diligence through
  close. You’re not just reviewing documents, you’re helping shape the deal

• Direct and manage outside counsel. You know how to get the most out of
  external partners without losing the thread or the budget

• Build and own the contract process. Put your operational hat on and make life
  easier for yourself and your colleagues

• Be a key stakeholder in Flex’s funding activities, working alongside outsidecounsel and internal stakeholders to carry deals from term sheet to close,whether that’s an equity round, a debt facility, or a major strategic partnership

• Help build out our AI legal suite. Why buy someone else’s tools when we can build our own and 10x our reach?

•  Manage corporate legal functions across HR, Finance, and Ops. We have a hand in all of it, and we work hand-in-hand with our business partners to shape strategy, provide real legal advice, and keep the company moving

• Own Flex's IP posture, protecting our technology, brand, and proprietary assetsso that every deal, partnership, and vendor agreement we sign keeps our crownjewels exactly where they belong: with us.

• You get it. Completely, instinctively. You’re not here to say no. You’re not here to say yes. You’re here to advise and counsel on what we’re supposed to do.

• You see around corners. You’re always one step ahead. You believe there’s a creative legal solution to every problem, and you’re not satisfied until you find it.

• You hate mistakes. Missing a typo puts you in a bad mood. But then again, you don’t really make mistakes, so you’re rarely in a bad mood.

• You know how to speak ‘business’, ‘product’, and ‘engineering’. You distill complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance for founders, operators, and anyone else who needs to understand what’s going on.

• You’re curious. Genuinely so. You ask questions. You dig. And when you need to be, you’re judgmental in exactly the right way: decisive, discerning, and not afraid to call it.

• You’re a strategic builder. You don’t just manage legal, you build it. You see the gaps before anyone else does, and you fill them.

• You’re hyper-focused on the details. The kind of person who catches what no one else caught.

• You are deeply, fundamentally comfortable with the undefined. Startups aren’t linear, predictable, or the same thing each day. Flex is fast-paced and rapidly evolving, serious ambition behind it. You don’t just survive in that environment, you thrive in it.

• 4+ years of corporate legal experience in-house at a startup or at a firm; strong preference for fintech, whether in-house or advisory
•  Real deal reps: you’ve worked funding rounds, debt facilities, and/or major commercial partnerships and can speak fluently to all of it. Bonus if you’ve seen multiple deals all the way through.
• Experience directing outside counsel. You know how to manage external partners effectively without losing control of the work or the budget
• You’ve built legal infrastructure before, including the processes, playbooks, or systems that didn’t exist before you showed up
• Genuine excitement about Flex’s mission and about being part of building something that actually matters
