Assistant - Procurement - Non-RM (1 year contract)

We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to support the Non-Raw Material Procurement function by adhering the Category Management Strategy and roadmap for all Non-Raw Material spend categories. This role involves leveraging volume to negotiate better prices as one MAS, generating significant bottom-line benefits for MAS Holdings, and ensuring smooth and transparent procurement processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the annual targets or KPIs are achieved while delivering expected results throughout the year.
- Perform allocated Non-Raw Material Procurement operations to ensure that materials are provided to manufacturing teams in line with the required Leadtime.
- Perform vendor extensions for all possible items and be the official contact for the allocated vendors for NMRP suppliers.
- Participate in negotiations with suppliers for better financial terms, delivery and lead time.
- Maintain and strengthen healthy relationships with assigned suppliers.
- Continuously monitor supplier performance in terms of price, lead time, and delivery commitments, providing feedback when required.
- Ensure accurate NMRP PO’s are raised/sent timely, including revisions for quantity/date changes.
- Follow-up on Supplier Payments.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain & Logistics, Textile Engineering and/or CIMA, ICASL or ACCA.
- 6-12 months experience in a similar role.
- Good negotiation and analytical skills.
- Good decision making and strategic thinking ability.
- Good project management skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of supplier quality management and supply market
