Assistant - Procurement - Non-RM (1 year contract)  

(BASED AT MAS LEGATO MALABE)

 

MAS Legato is the Shared Services arm of MAS Holdings, focused on offering Finance and HR services across the organization. The time and operational efficiencies created through a shared services platform makes MAS Legato a critical component of MAS, as a future-ready organization.

 

Empower transformation by becoming a driving force of change at MAS. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to support the Non-Raw Material Procurement function by adhering the Category Management Strategy and roadmap for all Non-Raw Material spend categories. This role involves leveraging volume to negotiate better prices as one MAS, generating significant bottom-line benefits for MAS Holdings, and ensuring smooth and transparent procurement processes.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Ensure the annual targets or KPIs are achieved while delivering expected results throughout the year.
  • Perform allocated Non-Raw Material Procurement operations to ensure that materials are provided to manufacturing teams in line with the required Leadtime.
  • Perform vendor extensions for all possible items and be the official contact for the allocated vendors for NMRP suppliers.  
  • Participate in negotiations with suppliers for better financial terms, delivery and lead time.
  • Maintain and strengthen healthy relationships with assigned suppliers.
  • Continuously monitor supplier performance in terms of price, lead time, and delivery commitments, providing feedback when required.
  • Ensure accurate NMRP PO’s are raised/sent timely, including revisions for quantity/date changes.
  • Follow-up on Supplier Payments. 

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

 

  • Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain & Logistics, Textile Engineering and/or CIMA, ICASL or ACCA.
  • 6-12 months experience in a similar role. 
  • Good negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Good decision making and strategic thinking ability.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality management and supply market
