Job DescriptionAbout the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale projects from planning through execution, commissioning, and handover. The role will be responsible for driving project performance across scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and stakeholder management while ensuring successful project completion within defined timelines and budgets.
The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, commercial acumen, and extensive experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end project execution from project initiation to final handover.
- Develop project plans, schedules, resource plans, and execution strategies.
- Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are achieved as per approved timelines.
- Drive project performance and ensure delivery within budget and quality parameters.
- Review construction methodologies and implement best practices for project delivery.
Budget & Cost Management
- Prepare and monitor project budgets and forecasts.
- Track project costs and ensure effective cost control measures.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and timelines.
- Review contractor bills, change orders, and project expenditures.
Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and present progress updates to leadership.
- Address project challenges proactively and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Contract & Commercial Management
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.
- Evaluate variations, claims, extensions of time, and commercial risks.
- Coordinate with procurement, contracts, and commercial teams for project requirements.
- Support negotiation and management of project-related contracts.
Team Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, planning, quality, safety, and construction teams.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Mentor and develop team members to build high-performing project teams.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Drive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance across project sites.
- Conduct periodic reviews to ensure adherence to project quality plans and safety standards.
- Ensure timely closure of quality and safety observations.
Risk Management
- Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain project risk registers and monitor critical risk areas.
- Escalate major risks and issues to management with recommended solutions.
Reporting & Governance
- Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Monitor project KPIs and report variances.
- Ensure documentation and project records are maintained accurately.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and governance requirements.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Master's Degree/MBA in Project Management or Operations preferred.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
Experience Required
- 15-20 years of experience in Project Management.
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects worth ₹100 Cr+ (or equivalent).
- Experience in Construction, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Data Centers, Industrial, Commercial Fit-Out, EPC, or Engineering Projects preferred.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders, contractors, and project teams.
