Meet Upside:

We created Upside to transform brick-and-mortar commerce. Our technology uses the sophistication of online retail—profit measurement, attribution, and incrementality—to provide users with more value on their everyday purchases and brick-and-mortar businesses with new, profitable customers. We’ve helped millions of users earn 2 to 3 times more cashback than any other product, and hundreds of thousands of brick-and-mortar businesses earn measurable profit. Billions of dollars in commerce run through the Upside platform every year, and that value goes directly back to our retailer partners, the consumers they serve, and important sustainability initiatives.

The Impact You’ll Make

Upside is adding an Account Manager to support emerging accounts in our fast growing restaurant and grocery verticals. In this role, you will build deep knowledge of the Upside platform, coordinate closely with internal teams, and strengthen retailer relationships through insightful reporting and exceptional service.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Account Management, you will partner with teams across analytics, product, marketing, and operations to ensure retailers see measurable value from Upside and to support continued business growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Own day to day management of retailer partnerships from onboarding through ongoing growth, building trust and long term value throughout their relationship with Upside

  • Improve account retention through platform education, using customized decks and data driven insights to help clients understand and grow their performance

  • Identify and close expansion opportunities, including long term agreement conversions

  • Proactively identify and address issues before they become churn risks

  • Lead monthly business reviews with retailer partners, translating raw data into performance reports, case studies, and actionable insights

  • Maintain strong account health across multiple levels of client organizations, including senior leaders within mid market and enterprise accounts

  • Support Strategic Account Managers on key partnerships

  • Partner with teams across analytics, product, marketing, and operations to improve retailer outcomes and help inform how Upside evolves the platform and client experience

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, or client engagement approaches as the team and business continue to scale

Competencies You’ll Need

  • 3+ years of client facing experience, including at least 2 years working with accounts in technology environments

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Demonstrated success driving retention, growth, or expansion within client relationships

  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to present insights effectively to both formal and informal audiences

  • Analytical ability to translate data into clear insights, recommendations, and compelling client narratives

  • Organizational and project management skills, including timeline management, client communication, and report interpretation

  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with curiosity about how the business works and how to improve it

  • A proactive, startup oriented mindset with a willingness to step beyond defined responsibilities and contribute to new initiatives as the business evolves

  • Experience working with the restaurant or grocery industry, or within a two sided marketplace, is a plus

  • Ability to travel up to 20%
