Provide pricing, financial and risk management for the Group Life and Accident reinsurance business. The position has significant impact on achievement of revenue, earnings and operational goals. In addition, will support leadership within the Group Reinsurance team and assist in the development of new products and overall expansion of Group Reinsurance business, collaborating with other business units within SCOR. Work closely with marketing underwriters, operations, and other actuaries within the Group Reinsurance team and within SCOR Life Pricing. The position will also conduct research and complete projects which add value to SCOR’s clients. The position is eligible for potential rotation within SCOR as part of the actuarial program.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Group Reinsurance team to establish strategic direction for Group Reinsurance products.
Work with the VP, Actuary – Group Reinsurance and others within SCOR to support financial reporting, experience analysis and reserving of the Group Reinsurance business and coordinate information and support for the financial and operations staff.
Involved in all aspects of risk management such as pricing of in-force and new accounts, underwriting, product development, data capture, concentration risk analysis and establishment of proper guidelines and procedures.
Work with VP, Actuary – Group Reinsurance in developing and maintaining Local Pricing and Underwriting Guidelines as it relates to U.S. Group Life & Accident reinsurance business.
Conduct concentration analysis of Group reinsurance volume, utilizing software for this purpose and assisting in managing intern staff to perform research. Analysis shared with SCOR Risk function to ensure risk is properly managed.
Assist with developing and implementing renewal strategies to meet SCOR profit goals.
Develop tools to assist in pricing and risk assessment.
Complete projects, including research and development, for the benefit of in-force clients and to meet specific client requests. Willingness to share insights with clients in training sessions.
Travel periodically to meet and build relationships with clients, prospects and brokers, including travel to present at industry conferences or for SCOR internal meetings.
Ensure adherence to ERM controls and processes.
BA/BS degree or equivalent
Actuarial Credentials (preferred)
2-5 years of Group Life experience (preferred)
2 years of insurance or reinsurance experience
Actuarial exam progression with the intent of obtaining Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries
Other relevant actuarial experience that is transferrable to Group Reinsurance
Potential to manage staff based on career development
Relocation assistance within the U.S. is available for this position.

Pay Range for roles performed in MN: $109,500-$134,000 base salary per year. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including
but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation
package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long term incentives. In addition, we provide a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance
