About the role

The Associate Director, Sales Training leads the strategy and execution of learning programs for sales representatives and sales managers. This leader owns the end-to-end enablement experience—from new hire onboarding to advanced continuing education—ensuring that training delivery is effective, data-driven, and operationally aligned with financial and performance goals.

As a key leader in the Operations Performance Enablement function, you will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and field execution. You will lead a team of trainers to accelerate rep speed-to-proficiency and foster a culture of continuous improvement through AI-driven coaching and performance insights.

What you’ll do

Strategic Enablement & Partnership

  • Sales & Recruiting Alignment: Act as a strategic partner to Sales and Recruiting leadership to align training capacity with hiring pipelines and business growth.
  • Program Architecture: Design and lead a scalable delivery framework that covers the entire employee lifecycle, from initial onboarding to leadership development.
  • Manager Empowerment: Drive specialized enablement programs for sales managers, focusing on coaching effectiveness and the adoption of AI-driven performance tools.

Operational Excellence & Program Governance

  • Delivery Standards: Establish and evolve SOPs for sales training, ensuring consistency across all programs including onboarding, upskilling, and certifications.
  • Resource & Capacity Management: Oversee trainer capacity planning and the logistical execution of complex programs, ensuring seamless transitions for new hires and promoted staff.
  • Content Lifecycle Management: Partner with Learning Design to ensure training content remains up to date, reflecting real-time business changes and performance trends.

Data-Driven Performance & Innovation

  • Effectiveness & Impact: Monitor and measure training effectiveness, utilizing data-driven recommendations to pivot strategies based on sales performance trends.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and pilot new delivery models and technologies to improve learner engagement, retention, and efficiency.
  • AI Integration: Leverage AI insights to enhance coaching quality and provide prescriptive feedback to the sales organization.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • People Management: Lead and mentor a team of New Hire and Continuing Education Managers, fostering a culture of ownership and high performance.
  • Professional Growth: Direct the professional development of the broader training team, ensuring high standards for facilitation, coaching, and HR oversight.
  • Succession Planning: Contribute to broader talent planning strategies to build a robust pipeline of enablement professionals.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in sales training or enablement, including proven experience leading managers or teams, with a track record of designing, executing, and scaling sales programs.
  • Strong data and analytics capabilities, including experience with dashboarding and reporting tools, to measure program effectiveness and guide decisions.
  • Expertise with Learning Management Systems to manage training delivery, learner progress, and compliance tracking.
  • Proficiency with content authoring and training development tools to create engaging, scalable learning experiences.
  • Highly resourceful and solutions-oriented, taking end-to-end ownership to deliver results while balancing strategy and execution, continuously improving processes, and adapting quickly in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and program management skills essential for driving results and team development.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The salary band for this position ranges from $110,000 - $160,000 commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living.
  • This position will be eligible for a competitive year end performance bonus & equity package.
