The Associate Manager, International Marketing & Publicity will lead campaigns for 15-20 titles, ensure consistent branding, and manage relationships with authors and agents.
Sourcebooks is seeking an agile and proactive, detail-driven Associate Manager, International Marketing & Publicity to create and execute bold, coordinated campaigns for approximately 15–20 titles each season. As the campaign lead between U.S. marketing teams, International Sales, and global affiliates, you’ll ensure seamless timelines, consistent author and brand voice across markets, timely approvals, and the smooth delivery and use of marketing assets.
The salary range for this role is $65K - $70K annually. We determine starting pay based on a thorough evaluation of job-related factors, including geographic location, market conditions, relevant experience, training, and education. This process ensures a fair and competitive salary that aligns with both the company and the candidate’s qualifications.
This is a hybrid position is based in Naperville, Illinois and requires days in office depending on the needs of the team.

What you’ll do
- Develop and lead marketing campaigns for roughly 15–20 titles each season in partnership with the Associate Director, International Marketing & Publicity.
- Act as the project manager between U.S. marketing teams, International Sales, and global affiliates.
- Cultivate and maintain strong author and agent relationships.
- Coordinate the creation and distribution of assets, ARCs, and promotional materials.
- Ensure coordinated campaign timing, timely approvals, and a consistent author and brand voice across markets.
- Provide exceptional international author support by managing title-specific campaign logistics, responding to author and agent requests, and fielding influencer and Instagram inquiries.
- Maintain systems that collect, organize, and correctly deploy marketing assets worldwide.
- Produce clear campaign reporting.
- Collaborate closely with internal marketing and sales teams.
- Troubleshoot cross-market issues to keep campaigns running smoothly and delivering results.
- 3–4+ years’ experience in book publishing—marketing or publicity preferred.
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills.
- The organization and initiative to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment.
- A highly driven and collaborative approach.
- Cultural attunement and comfort communicating across time zones.
- The ability to build author trust and strengthen agent relationships.
