About the role:

Augment Risk is seeking a senior Business Development / Origination professional to expand our presence in the U.S. captive insurance market. This role is designed to separate origination from structuring and placement, allowing Augment’s captive team to achieve materially higher sales in 2026 and into the future.

  • Drive consistent new account production through disciplined pipeline management and execution.

Market & Distribution Development

  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with retail and wholesale brokers, captive managers, consultants, legal, actuarial, and advisory partners, and corporate risk managers throughout the US.
  • Identify and pursue new captive distribution channels and referral partnerships.
  • Develop targeted market and industry niches to create repeatable inbound opportunity flow for Augment’s Captives specialty.
  • Act as a trusted front-end advisor on captive suitability and structure, informed by strong working knowledge of captive formations and feasibility.
  • Position Augment’s captive capabilities clearly and credibly, while relying on internal teams for detailed structuring, pricing, and execution.

Experience & Expertise

  • Proven business development originator with deep experience in captive insurance.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing and closing complex captive transactions through broker- and advisor-driven distribution.
  • Strong understanding of captive structures, feasibility considerations, and formation processes.
  • Existing, active relationships within the U.S. captive ecosystem strongly preferred.
  • Clear, confident communicator with executive presence.
  • Highly self-directed, production-oriented, and comfortable operating in a pure origination role.
  • Strategic thinker who understands how to align market opportunity with underwriting and capital considerations.

Education & Credentials

  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant captive or alternative risk experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • CPCU, CIC, and/or related P&C insurance designations strongly preferred.

Why work for us:

  • Meaningful, production-based incentive compensation aligned directly to new captive opportunities and successful conversions.
  • We will provide you with the opportunity to be inventive and innovative, we love challenging industry norms.
  • You will work in a multi-disciplinary environment, collaborating closely with talented individuals within a flat structure.
  • You will be trusted and encouraged to take ownership and accountability.
  • We adopt a work from anywhere approach. Our colleagues and clients are globally distributed which means flexibility is key to delivering great client outcomes, and that’s what matters to us.
  • We believe in rewarding success, and we want everyone to share in the value we create – therefore, all our employees are offered equity.
  • We look after our people and their loved ones. Our employee benefits are designed with that in mind.
