Job Description:
Blake Willson Group is seeking a Pricing & Actuarial Analyst to support Government acquisition and proposal evaluations through detailed pricing, financial, actuarial, and healthcare-related analyses. This position will review contract proposals, develop and validate analytical models, identify anomalies and unsupported assumptions, and prepare clear, traceable evaluation materials to support Government decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical judgment, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, highly controlled environment. In this position, you will also:
- Review assigned Offeror proposals for completeness, internal consistency, mathematical accuracy, and compliance with applicable pricing or actuarial evaluation frameworks.
- Develop and maintain reproducible analytical models, comparison matrices, crosswalks, sensitivity analyses, and structured evaluation workpapers.
- Identify unsupported assumptions, anomalies, missing inputs, inconsistent rates, and other issues requiring clarification or additional analysis.
- Draft concise clarification questions, evaluation observations, briefing materials, and negotiation-support inputs for Government review.
- Collaborate with counterpart pricing and actuarial teams to reconcile differences in data, assumptions, and analytical conclusions.
- Rapidly update analyses following clarifications, revised proposals, final proposal revisions, or Contracting Officer direction.
- Apply rigorous version control, calculation validation, source traceability, and peer-review practices to all deliverables.
- Use Government-approved automation and analytical tools to improve consistency and efficiency while maintaining confidentiality, traceability, and human oversight.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Business, Healthcare Analytics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, actuarial analysis, healthcare analytics, cost modeling, or a closely related discipline.
- 1+ year of experience building or reviewing complex analytical models, evaluating assumptions and calculations, and communicating findings through clear written products.
- 1+ year of experience applying strong quality-control practices, reconciling complex data, and delivering accurate analytical work within compressed timelines.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with payer/provider contracting, medical or dental networks, claims, utilization, or healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
- ASA or FSA designation, or documented progress toward an actuarial credential.
- Experience with Power Query, Power BI, SQL, Python, R, or another approved analytics or automation platform.
- Experience developing analytical models and written products incorporated into an official acquisition or contract file.
At Blake Willson Group, we believe in transparency and fairness in compensation practices. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $80,000 in the United States. Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
