Job Description

Solution Architect owns the end-to-end architecture for master data and data governance solutions that create trusted “one-source” for the enterprise. Partner with product, engineering, security, and business leaders to design scalable, cloud-ready architectures that turn fragmented data into reliable, governed assets—and coach teams to deliver them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery and solution architecture across Master Data Products like Customer, Contact, Vendor/Supplier, Product, and Customer Owned Products domains; define canonical models, matching/survivorship, and hierarchies.
  • Design real-time and batch ingestion/publish patterns using APIs, event streaming, and ETL; integrate with CRM/ERP/Fulfillment /Subscription platforms and Data Warehouse.
  • Stand up end-to-end data quality management—profiling, rules, monitoring, and dashboards—and drive root-cause remediation with domain teams.
  • Implement and scale the enterprise data catalog and end-to-end lineage: select/integrate tooling; automate metadata harvesting across ELT/ETL, streaming, ML, and BI; curate business glossary and technical metadata.
  • Lead data migration planning and execution (initial loads and incremental sync); define SLAs/SLOs and implement performance tuning and observability for accuracy, completeness, and latency.
  • Champion “data as a product,” partnering with domain owners to deliver reusable, well-documented, trusted datasets with clear ownership.
  • Introduce AI-assisted governance (auto-classification, lineage inference, semantic discovery) and automate stewardship where it yields measurable value.
  • Assess current governance capabilities and gaps; deliver roadmaps, change-management plans, and program artifacts to mature roles, processes, and controls.
  • Change management support and producing related program deliverables and artifacts.
  • Establish the data governance operating model—policies, RACI, stewardship workflows, and role-based access—aligned to GDPR/CCPA/ISO.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience: 10+ years in data management/architecture, including 5+ years leading MDM and data governance across Customer, Contact, Vendor/Supplier, Product, Install Base, and Reference domains.
  • MDM platforms: Hands-on expertise with at least one major Master Data platform.
  • Catalog & lineage: Selected and deployed an enterprise data catalog with end-to-end lineage (automated metadata harvesting, business glossary, impact analysis, audit readiness).
  • Integration architecture: REST APIs, event streaming/pub-sub, and batch ELT/ETL; integrations with CRM/ERP/Fulfillment/Subscription systems and EDW/Lakehouse.
  • Governance & compliance: Implemented governance operating models (policies, RACI, stewardship), RBAC/ABAC, and privacy/compliance controls aligned to GDPR/CCPA/ISO 27001.
  • Data as a product: Established clear ownership, documentation, and consumer SLOs; embedded governance-by-design into CI/CD and self-service analytics.
  • Stakeholder leadership: Run discovery/architecture workshops, produce reference designs, and communicate trade-offs to executives and engineers.
  • Credentials: CDMP (DAMA).
  • Education: Bachelors in CS/CE/IS (or related); advanced degree a plus.

Perks and Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and generous stock options
  • 100% employer-paid top-of-the-line medical, dental and vision coverage
  • Great benefits including unlimited PTO, parental leave and free snacks and beverages
  • The opportunity to work with some of the brightest minds from Silicon Valley’s most dominant and successful companies
  • Be part of an early stage, hyper-growth start-up with the opportunity to grow and prosper
  • Work on the latest and coolest technologies – everything is home-grown and built ground-up
  • A dynamic work environment with a strong sense of community and collaboration
  • The open and transparent culture that encourages innovation, rewards performance and discourages hierarchy
  • Exciting opportunities for career growth and development
