Associate Regional Client Manager


The Affinity Group Associate Regional Client Manager is an entry-level position within the Client Management team. The Associate Regional Client Manager is responsible for regional execution of sales and marketing strategies for assigned clients and is the primary contact for the regional sales manager with the corresponding clients.  While gaining knowledge of the assigned client plans and objectives, this position facilitates activities of the collective group of local market leaders who in turn manage market specific sales objectives and local market execution via effective trimester planning and specific follow-through.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients, fostering strong business relationships.
  • Partner with regional market leaders to execute client-specific sales plans, including segment focus, innovation strategies, and sales goals.
  • Communicate sales strategies and objectives to regional sales teams.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Enablement team to ensure accurate CRM data, sales reporting, and market strategy alignment.
  • Oversee client participation in Trimester Playbook initiatives, ensuring compliance with guidelines and execution in local markets.
  • Facilitate connectivity between client regional managers, internal market leads, and segment/culinary teams through regular check-ins.
  • Analyze monthly sales reports, identify trends, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Represent clients at distributor trade shows, food-related events, and internal sales meetings.
  • Monitor and communicate sales data, industry trends, and market insights to drive business decisions.
  • Adapt sales plans based on evolving industry conditions and competitive pressures.
  • Support AI-driven sales initiatives and track execution of AI-generated opportunities.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and industry updates to sales teams and clients.
  • Develop and deliver product training to regional sales teams. 

What to expect:

  • The typical work week: Monday through Friday
  • During the food trade show season, the position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, with the ability to safely lift case goods (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Travel (Driving): Position requires motor vehicle travel to assigned locations. The candidate must possess an active Driver’s License and a clean driving record

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience working with foodservice distributors.
  • Minimum of 1 year of foodservice sales experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales plans.
  • Professional, proactive, and results-driven mindset.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and trust-building skills.
  • Excellent business planning, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team-oriented with strong motivational and leadership skills.
  • Strategic thinker with solid analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, trimester planning, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
