The Athletic Enrollment Advisor will participate in an integrated, student-centered approach to support student-athlete success with an emphasis on retention, academic progress, eligibility compliance, and overall student-athlete development. This position serves as the primary academic support and eligibility compliance resource for NWACC Athletics and works collaboratively with Enrollment Services, Academic Affairs, Financial Aid, Admissions, Records, Coaching Staffs, and Student Support Services. This position reports directly to the Director of Enrollment Services and works in close collaboration with the Executive Director of Athletics.

Essential Duties:

  • Provides academic advising and student success support specifically for NWACC student-athletes

  • Serves as the primary institutional coordinator for all NJCAA athletic eligibility and compliance requirements

  • Monitors and certifies student-athlete eligibility, including enrollment status, academic progress, transfer requirements, residency documentation, and continuing eligibility standards

  • Assists student-athletes with NCAA transfer eligibility, transfer pathways, and academic planning when applicable

  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the department and college

Rate of Pay: $41,107 annualized *Higher compensation may be considered based on qualifications directly related to position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Minimum of one year of prior academic advising experience in higher education

  • Experience advising a specialized student population

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in intercollegiate athletics, athletic academic advising, athletic eligibility, compliance, or student-athlete support services

  • Experience advising NJCAA and/or NCAA student-athletes

  • Knowledge of NJCAA and/or NCAA eligibility standards, transfer requirements, and compliance processes

  • Experience working with student-athletes, athletics, or athletic eligibility processes preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the organization and administration of various higher education academic and social programs

  • Knowledge of campus and community resources

  • Knowledge of state, federal, and campus rules, regulations, and requirements related to campus academic and social programs

  • Ability to coordinate the activities of campus academic and/or social programs

  • Ability to evaluate collected information and formulate into recommendations

  • Ability to compile information into report form
