Design, develop, and maintain automated functional, performance, and security test scripts for the GEOMAP platform. Integrate tests into CI/CD using government-approved tools, convert manual tests to automation, perform regression/performance/interoperability testing, maintain traceability and test artifacts, collaborate with Scrum teams, support government third-party testing, and participate in defect triage and root cause analysis.
The Automated Test Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for the GEOMAP platform, ensuring software releases meet stringent functional, technical, and security quality standards. This role is critical for supporting Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and improving overall release efficiency.
*This position is contingent upon contract award.*
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, performance, and security testing.
- Convert manual test scripts to automated scripts within 90 days of release or within 16 months of any new tool adoption.
- Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline using government-approved tools (e.g., Checkmarx, ACAS, CAST, Jenkins).
- Perform regression testing, performance validation, and interoperability testing prior to releases.
- Ensure traceability of all tests to requirements and maintain test artifacts under configuration control.
- Collaborate with Scrum teams to identify automation opportunities and improve test coverage.
- Support government-led third-party testing and provide performance test scripts for independent verification.
- Participate in defect triage, root cause analysis, and backlog refinement related to testing outcomes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance required.
- Must have IAT-II certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, including at least 2 years in automated testing.
- Proficiency with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
- Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements and secure coding standards.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
