Job Summary

AVP, Agency Services provides strategic leadership over F&G's Agency Services department, overseeing all aspects of commissions, contracting, and licensing across manual and automated programs. This role develops and executes strategies aligned with company goals, including commission bonuses and incentive programs, agency debt collections, and expense savings initiatives. The AVP maintains commission tables, supports all distribution channels, and serves as a key liaison with Sales, Operations, TPA, Legal, Finance, and Compliance partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage Agency Services SLAs and KPIs to ensure performance targets are consistently achieved or exceeded.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures that reflect industry best practices and current regulatory requirements.
  • Provide strategic guidance and subject matter expertise across all distribution channels, including Brokerage, Broker-Dealer, Financial Institutions, Bank IBD, and Variable/Securities.
  • Establish and monitor process controls and metrics to ensure accuracy, timeliness, quality, and budget adherence for internal and external operations.
  • Oversee relationships with vendors and other third parties supporting Agency Services, ensuring contractual obligations, SLAs, and KPIs are fulfilled on time and within budget.
  • Drive Agency Services' strategic direction through active participation in company initiatives, committees, process improvement efforts, and product development projects.
  • Champion organizational change by engaging process owners and stakeholders in implementing strategic improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, financial, and SOX controls; adhere to all applicable sales and product compliance requirements.
  • Partner with internal audit and controls teams on risk assessments and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Lead, develop, and engage Agency Services teams through regular communication, skip-level check-ins, and employee development planning.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business or a related field required
  • 10+ years of experience in a life and/or annuity insurance company or agency, including 4+ years in a team leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Agency Services, Service Center, or similar functions with a focus on commissions, contracting, and licensing administration.
  • Experience with variable annuity, securities, annuity, and life insurance products.

  • Deep understanding of F&G's strategic goals, products, customer segments, and competitive landscape.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing, diverse teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to tailor messaging across audiences and effectively convey complex or sensitive information.
  • Skilled at building trusted relationships with internal partners and external stakeholders in both in-person and virtual environments.
  • Drives data-driven decision-making and develops business cases to support organizational change.
  • Applies knowledge of emerging tools, technology, and industry trends to inform strategy.
  • Champions large-scale process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Manages vendor relationships and ensures teams execute against contractual commitments.
  • Provides regulatory subject matter expertise with an enterprise-level perspective on risk identification and mitigation.
