Job Summary

Lead data science and analytics initiatives to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. Oversee the development and implementation of data models, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Provide actionable insights through comprehensive data analysis and reporting, supporting various healthcare domains.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Lead strategic analysis and planning across business units to meet data analysis needs.
• Mentor, coach, and provide guidance to team members.
• Set departmental priorities in alignment with the operating plan, budget, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct deep dive analyses across health plans, providing actionable insights and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize revenue outcomes.
• Monitor Medicaid/Medicare/Marketplace growth opportunities and new policy rules, developing analytical frameworks to support business cases and presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Partner with health plans to design and evaluate Payment Integrity campaigns, developing insights and recommendations to optimize future campaigns.
• Present complex analytical information clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization.
• Collaborate with the analytics team, managing the delivery of analytical projects.
• Identify data solutions and technology opportunities, referring to appropriate team members for implementation.
• Apply statistical and computational methodologies to provide actionable insights and optimize quality, consumer experience, and healthcare costs.
• Develop scalable, efficient, and automated processes for large-scale data analyses and model development.
• Utilize algorithms and models to mine big data, improve models, and ensure data uniformity and accuracy.
• Develop novel approaches for data exploration, analysis, and feature selection from large-scale multidimensional data.
• Execute data science and statistical experiments methodically to solve problems and impact healthcare domains.
• Analyze data for trends and patterns, interpreting data with clear objectives.
• Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from industry trends.
• Implement tools and languages such as Hadoop, Power BI, R, Python, SQL, Impala SQL, Toad Automation scripts, and Apache Superset.
 

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or a related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 7 years of experience leading healthcare analytics functions.
• 10 years of work experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Strong knowledge of Hadoop, Power BI, R, Python, SQL, Impala SQL, Toad Automation scripts, and Apache Superset.
• Familiarity with relational database concepts and SDLC concepts.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to bring order to unstructured problems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
